Spring is a time to celebrate, and that means plenty of beautiful table centerpiece ideas! One of my favorite parts of getting ready to host a party is deciding how to set a pretty table — and of course, that usually includes a trip to Trader Joe’s for some gorgeous, inexpensive blooms!
There are so many creative ways to put together a simple spring flower arrangement, and I hope you find some inspiration for your next spring gathering. But before we jump in, here are a few helpful tips to keep in mind:
- It doesn’t have to be expensive—grocery store flowers work beautifully.
- Get creative with vases you already have (or try a fun vase upcycle like this one!).
- It doesn’t have to be perfect—sometimes a more relaxed, natural look is even prettier!
Now, let’s get into the inspiration—here are 23 beautiful and budget-friendly DIY centerpieces to try this spring!

1. Soft and Elegant Hydrangea Centerpiece
I created this soft blue and lavender centerpiece for a blue-themed bridal shower. The fresh mix of blue and white hydrangeas, lavender mums, and silver dollar eucalyptus is a pretty timeless look for a spring table. The flowers, arranged in a low-profile bowl made for easy conversation.

2. Lush Garden Basket Centerpiece with Potted Flowers
Don’t forget that you can use potted flowers to create a beautiful and inexpensive flower arrangement. This colorful tablescape for a Mother’s Day brunch was fun to create using garden-themed containers and is the perfect cottage-inspired look!

3. Sunny Yellow Pitcher Arrangement
If you want a sunny and cheerful table, this tablescape is for you! I combined white tulips, yellow alstroemeria, baby’s breath, and yellow gerbera daisies, in pretty white ceramic containers and a striped pitcher. I love the way the yellow looks with the blue and white accents on the table for a cheerful spring look!

4. Colorful Painted Glass Floral Display
Display a grouping of colorful glass jars or petite vases down the center of your table or buffet for a fresh spring look! Use pedestals to vary the height of the arrangement, and keep the flowers simple with delicate white wax flowers. Paint your own colorful jars in the colors of your choice with this easy and fun DIY!

5. Classic Pink Peony Vase Arrangement
Make a beautiful statement with a vibrant faux peony arrangement in a simple white vase. You can find really pretty faux peonies that will last forever! That’s the beauty of faux florals! These peonies were a HomeGoods find, and I like to style them in our entryway or on the mantel.

6. Pair Tulips with a Dough Bowl Full of Speckled Eggs
Think of gathering a collection of items to create a centerpiece for spring. A simple bouquet of tulips grouped with a pretty candlestick and a dough bowl full of speckled eggs adds the perfect touch to our kitchen table. Look at what you already own, and think of new ways to group items together for a pretty look!

7. Romantic Spring Centerpiece with Moss, Roses, & Eucalyptus
If you’re hosting a bridal shower, ladies’ lunch, or a sweet gathering with friends, this garden-inspired centerpiece is such a pretty look. I arranged a collection of pink and white roses, white hydrangeas, and a few pops of coral carnations and lavender filler with seeded eucalyptus in a moss-lined chicken wire basket. It creates such a soft romantic look for your table, particularly when placed on a pretty dyed cheesecloth runner.

8. Creative Cabbage Vase Flower Arrangement
This is one of my favorite spring flower centerpiece ideas! Using a head of cabbage as the container for a spring arrangement adds such a unique and whimsical touch for your tablescape! I like to add even more height by displaying it in a pretty pedestal bowl. You can use the outer leaves of the cabbage to line your bowl for a great look!

9. Crisp White Hydrangeas in Distressed Wooden Boxes
Simplicity is key with this classic look. A few white hydrangeas paired with eucalyptus in a simple wooden box creates a beautiful, elegant look for a spring table, wedding, or rehearsal dinner centerpiece! Just be sure to place a small vase inside the wooden box to hold the water for your flowers! I created these arrangements for our son’s rehearsal dinner.

10. Farmhouse-Style Orchid & Greenery Basket
If you like a little more rustic look, this green Easter basket filled with a potted snake plant, petite orchid, and the cutest cloth carrots is such a fun and fresh look! The burlap bow adds the finishing touch!

11. Classic Blue & White Chinoiserie with Faux Dogwood Blooms
This timeless spring centerpiece featuring faux dogwood branches in blue and white vases on our coffee table makes a statement for spring! It’s so simple to create with faux stems that can be used year-after-year!

12. Potted Spring Plants in a Coastal Clam Shell
If you want lots of lush texture on your table for the season, this idea is perfect! I love styling small potted blooming plants in our giant clam shell bowl for a classic look! (Ours is from Ballard Designs from a few years ago. The link is to their updated version.) Orchids and cyclamen are perfect for this. Arrange the plants in their containers in the bowl and then cover with preserved moss. This look will carry you through the season because the plants are living!
Helpful tip: Use wadded up newspaper to help position and secure the plants in the clam shell bowl. You’ll cover it with moss and won’t see it!

13. Bright Pink Kalanchoe in a Simple Glass Vase
Kalanchoe is another great blooming potted plant to include in spring centerpieces! This pretty flower adds the perfect pop of pink to our table, and looks so fresh with the blue and white paper plaid runner! I placed the potted container in a glass vase, but first wrapped it in a piece of pink tissue paper to hide the plastic nursery container.

14. Blue & White Spring Vignette with a Touch of Orange in Petite Vases
One of my favorite ways to create a pretty centerpiece is to use a grouping of small vases filled with flowers. Gather them together on a tray with other items such as candleholders, larger vases, and a few scattered eggs for a lovely collected look! I used shades of orange for this centerpiece, which adds a great pop against the blue and white vase. A combination of petite orange roses, peachy alstroemeria, and spring greens creates a fresh look!

15. Add Spring Blooms to a Vase Full of Limes
Don’t forget citrus for a fresh look when creating spring arrangements! I simply added some limes to this glass vase and filled it with hydrangea stems. My limes and hydrangeas were faux, but you can certainly do this with fresh flowers and real limes — just don’t forget to add water!

16. Golden Forsythia Branches in a Simple White Vase
Forsythia branches are the quintessential early spring flowers! Add them to a white vase for a bold and cheerful arrangement to brighten your room! I grouped my arrangement on a round wooden tray with a petite purple orchid for a pretty look. If you have a blooming forsythia bush, clip your own branches, or do what I do, and use faux forsythia!

17. Lavender Tulip Arrangement in a Rustic White Ceramic Vase
This pretty centerpiece of gorgeous lavender tulips forms the focal point of this Easter tablescape. The lavender and green color palette is perfect for spring. Use a woven table runner and placements to add texture and a natural look to the table. The folded bunny napkins add a fun touch at each place setting!

We usually think of soft pastels for spring, but think outside the box with a pop of bold fresh color! These orange Gerbera daisies and bright greenery create a lively look on a spring table or buffet!

19. Blue Glass Vase with Mixed Spring Florals on a Colorful Tole Tray
This beautiful mix of carnations, lilies, and greenery in a striking cobalt blue vase is a lovely addition to this colorful painted tole tray (a fun thrift find!). The colored glass vase and vintage tray add just as much interest to this centerpiece as the pretty flowers!

20. Soft & Elegant Hydrangea and Coral Carnation Bouquet
A fresh mix of white hydrangeas and peachy carnations create a light and airy spring look. Carnations are a great, affordable addition to your flower arrangements, adding a budget-friendly pop of color! The seeded eucalyptus in this simple arrangement adds a fresh touch of spring green!

21. Yellow-Coral Tulips and White Hydrangeas in a Classic Vase
This elegant combination of flowers is perfect for a spring brunch table! A few sprigs of greenery make this feel fresh and feminine. Add the hydrangeas at the base and tuck in the greenery to support the tulips.

Another “gathered-style” centerpiece is grouped on a wooden dough bowl for a rustic, yet elegant look! Create mini arrangements of gorgeous roses and eucalyptus in small bud vases and display in a dough bowl for a casual, natural feel to your table.

23. Simple Hydrangea Arrangement in a Woven Rattan Vase
Create a breezy, casual spring look with soft green hydrangeas displayed in a rustic woven vase. I made this simple arrangement for our son’s backyard engagement party,
