Seven on Saturday 6/8/24

Happy Saturday! I’m so glad you stopped by today!

Two Saturdays ago we were in Florida celebrating a sweet wedding and visiting with friends and family, and the past week we’ve been busy catching up on things around the house and on the blog!

Two weeks ago, we traveled to Ocala, Florida for the beautiful wedding of our dear friends’ son, Jake, and his beautiful bride, Hallie. Ocala is just a gorgeous town, and we loved every minute of spending time with our sweet friends in the days leading up to the wedding. Jeff and I are so blessed to do life with this precious group of friends!

After the wedding we headed to the Gulf to visit with Renee’s (our sweet new daughter-in-love’s) parents who just moved to the Port Charlotte area last fall. We loved seeing their lovely new home and spending time together when we weren’t in wedding planning mode!

Then it was on to Cape Coral to stay with Jeff’s brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Cathy. We enjoyed spending a couple of days with them in their gorgeous home and spending an afternoon boating to Sanibel Island!

It was a busy week with a lot of driving, but it was full of many sweet memories!

We’ll be heading out again soon to meet up with all of our adult children in Asheville, North Carolina for a family vacation, and then Jeff and I will head on to Charleston for a few days to ourselves. It’s definitely the season of travel around here, and I love it!!

This Week on the Blog:

Need an idea for some original art with a personal touch? This week I shared how I created these botanical prints for our kitchen with a pair of thrifted frames from Goodwill.

And, on Thursday I joined some blogging friends in our Celebrate the Holiday blog hop featuring lots of decorating ideas for the 4th of July! I created this easy patriotic flower bucket for our front door with faux greenery and geraniums.
