Whether you love making your own or prefer to purchase one that’s ready to hang, a fall wreath is the perfect way to dress up your front door, mantel, focal wall, or window. I’ve pulled together a mix of my favorite DIY wreaths along with some beautiful finds you can shop if you want something quick and easy.
While I have links to tutorials for most of the wreaths, I’m also including some of the wreaths I’ve styled around our home for extra inspiration. Even if there isn’t a tutorial, they’re a fun way to see different looks and ideas you can try in your own home. I’m notorious for making and remaking a wreath to use it another way, and often that happens on a whim!
Beautiful Fall Wreaths to Try This Season

1. Wispy Grass Twister Wreath
I love an airy, wispy wreath, and this DIY harvest-inspired look uses green and orange grass twister stems from Hobby Lobby to form the base. I few fall picks and leaves scattered around creates a cozy and slightly rustic look paired with the deep orange burlap and rich gold velvet ribbon of the bow.

2. Update a Simple Wheat Wreath with Ribbon
Sometimes, all you need to do is add some ribbon to give a wreath a whole new look. This neutral wreath needed a pop of color to coordinate with the vibrant shades of the mums and pumpkins on our porch. I selected several shades of colorful ribbon and tied them together in a bow leaving the tails to cascade down the door.

3. Rustic Pinecone Wreath
As I mentioned above, I’m notorious for tearing apart a wreath or recreating it into a whole new look. This is the same wreath from the picture above with the colorful ribbon. I removed the ribbon and added a ring of pinecones from our yard for a rustic look. I like to use this wreath in late fall as we head into Thanksgiving, but you can certainly use this all season long!

4. Use a Few Fall Picks to Transition a Summer Wreath into Fall
You don’t need a new wreath for every season. Sometimes you can add a few seasonal picks and change out the ribbon to create a whole new look as the seasons change. This white and green summer wreath received a few pops of orange to transition into autumn.

5. Add a Textured Fall Ribbon to a Boxwood Wreath
For a classic look that’s easy to transition from season-to-season, nothing beats a boxwood wreath! I gave the boxwood wreath on our double mirrors a new look for fall by adding a simple burlap ribbon.

6. Add a Chartreuse Bow to a Classic Fall Leaf Wreath
A wreath full of colorful fall leaves adds a gorgeous pop of seasonal color to your front door. I love the way the chartreuse ribbon brings the wreath to life.

7. Make a Hydrangea Pumpkin Wreath
Use an inexpensive pumpkin wreath from from the Dollar Tree to create this moss-covered wreath. Add dried hydrangeas from the garden and some velvet ribbon for a pretty, natural look.

8. Would you rather purchase a ready-made wreath?
This gorgeous fall wreath from Amazon has a Frontgate vibe at a fraction of the cost. It comes in several gorgeous color ways!
I hope these fall wreath ideas inspire you to add a little seasonal touch to your home. Whether you make your own or grab one that’s ready to hang, it’s such a simple way to welcome fall and make your home feel warm and inviting!
Happy Decorating!
