Seven on Saturday 9/28/24

Can you believe it’s the last weekend in September?

I know many of you have had a rough week riding out and recovering from storm damage and loss. It’s certainly been widespread in the southeastern United States, and our hearts go out to those dealing with the devastating impacts of Hurricane Helene.

We have lots of rain in Kentucky this weekend, so it’s a great time to get a few indoor projects done.

A large bush of vibrant red flowers surrounded by lush green foliage, with a cluster of white blooms in the background, creates a picturesque scene. The densely packed red flowers cover the bush, offering a striking contrast with the greenery—a perfect Seven on Saturday showcase for 9/28/24.

I did manage to do a little sprucing up of our front porch before all the rain set in, and I’ll share about that next week. These pretty Bronze mums were my color inspiration this year.

This Week on the Blog:

We’re definitely in fall mode on the blog with lots of fall decorating and craft ideas!!

A decorative autumn display on a table with pumpkins and colorful fall leaves. A round orange pumpkin stands on a black pedestal, while an oblong pumpkin and a white gourd rest nearby. A DIY paper leaf garland for fall drapes gracefully around the arrangement, adding a touch of creativity alongside the blue and white pot with dried berries.

If you love creating beautiful blends of color, then this fall craft is for you! I shared how to create this pretty fall paper leaf garland with hand-painted paper leaves. It’s lots of fun to make, and it’s such a pretty addition to a mantel, tablescape, or bookshelf for fall!

A collage of fall-themed items: a floral-patterned pillow, pine cone wreath, table lamp with tassel, checkered pumpkin, striped throw blanket, set of turkey and pheasant plates, framed country artwork, brass bowls, clear pumpkin jar, and maroon taper candles.
