Create a Cozy Christmas Bedroom: Blue Decor and a Stunning Flocked Tree
Do you love the idea of decorating your bedroom for Christmas? Today, I’m sharing how I brought a cozy and festive feel to our primary bedroom using soft blue decor and a beautiful flocked Christmas tree. It’s the perfect way to create a peaceful and inviting holiday space.
Our bedroom’s soft blue decor creates the perfect backdrop for a serene holiday transformation. By layering in festive touches like a flocked tree and cozy accents, I’ve created a space that feels both peaceful and beautifully seasonal.

If you’re considering putting a Christmas tree in your bedroom this year, consider this your sign to do it!
There’s nothing better than the soft glow of Christmas lights filling your home during the holiday season. I love adding warm, cozy lighting everywhere, and Christmas trees are always a favorite to decorate.
This year, I decided to bring that soft, warm glow into our primary bedroom with a beautiful Christmas tree, and it has made all the difference. Walking into our room feels like stepping into a frosty winter wonderland, and it’s so cozy crawling into bed at night with the tree lights casting their soft glow.
Plus, since our bedroom is just off the living room, it often becomes the overflow spot for coats and purses during family gatherings—decorating it feels like the perfect way to keep the festive spirit flowing throughout our home.
Our Snowy Flocked Christmas Tree
The Christmas tree is definitely the centerpiece of our bedroom!
Last year, we received a beautiful queen-sized flocked Christmas tree from King of Christmas. It looked stunning in our living room, but this year, I just knew it would be perfect in our soft blue and white bedroom—a spot I’ve always wanted to have a Christmas tree.
These snowy white trees are so beautiful on their own that they don’t need much, but I decided to add a few accents. I kept it simple with soft blue and creamy white ornaments, a few mercury glass accents, and some light blue velvet ribbon cascading out of the tree.
I tend to get carried away when decorating trees, but this time, I restrained myself, and I love how it turned out—simple, elegant, and just right for our bedroom.
Add Festive Touches of Christmas Around the Bedroom
You can create a cozy and festive look in your bedroom with just a few simple touches. It doesn’t take much to bring the magic of Christmas into your space—just a few carefully chosen accents can make all the difference.
One of my favorite ways to add Christmas decor to a room is with a wreath and a simple bow.
You can hang a wreath on a mirror, prop one on a shelf, or attach one to a closet door for an easy and festive touch. In our bedroom, I added a small mini wreath to the mirror above our headboard, tying it with the same blue velvet ribbon I used on our tree.
I also added a mini wreath to the shelf in our primary bathroom above the garden tub—it’s such a cheerful addition to the space. It looks perfect, said against the backdrop of our blue and white stencil walls, which you can read about in this post.
On our dresser, I placed a small spray of greenery with a glittery ornament and some blue velvet ribbon, resting it on a decorative box. These little details come together to create a cozy and festive feel in the room.
And of course, you can always add pretty wintery throw pillows! Just a single simple through pillow adds a fun touch to your bed!
Cozy Bedding Makes All the Difference
No cozy Christmas bedroom is complete without the right bedding, and for me, it’s all about layers. Nothing beats snuggling under a quilted Pottery Barn quilt, and our favorite is the white pick-stitched quilt—it’s perfect for every season.
This quilt is ideal for layering, and I love pairing it with a cozy comforter gathered at the base of the bed for those chilly nights. For evenings when I don’t quite need the comforter, a knit throw blanket adds just the right amount of warmth.
Our current blue and white floral comforter is from the My Texas House line at Walmart, and while it’s not currently available, there are plenty of similar cozy options to achieve this look such as this blue and white floral comforter set.
In the past, I’ve also used this soft blue Ralph Lauren comforter, which adds an elegant touch while perfectly complementing our bedroom’s color palette.
And of course, no bedding setup is complete without cozy pillows. My absolute favorites are the Beckham pillows from Amazon. We use them on all our beds, including the guest rooms, and they make every night feel like a luxurious retreat. Whether you love a classic quilt or prefer layers of plush comforters and throws, there are so many ways to make your bedroom feel festive and inviting for the holidays.
I absolutely love how our cozy Christmas bedroom came together this year. The soft glow of the tree lights, the snowy white accents, and the layers of cozy bedding make it feel like a peaceful holiday retreat. It’s such a treat to step into this festive space every day, and I hope it inspires you to create your own cozy Christmas bedroom to enjoy this season!
