Seven on Saturday: Spring Refresh & Home Inspiration

We’re back home this Saturday after two weekends in a row of travel — a fun girls’ trip to the lake a couple weeks ago and a sweet weekend in Knoxville babysitting our Eden last week.

Eden continues to amaze us and bring us so much joy! She’s smart, funny, adorable, and the best little snuggler!! My favorite part of the weekend was when she would snuggle into me with a sweet hug and in the most precious voice say, “My Mimi!” Oh, my! You can imagine my heart just melting!

A toddler with light brown hair stands in front of a green couch, bringing a touch of Spring Refresh to the room. Wearing a maroon sweater and denim pants, the child holds red toy figures while colorful animal puzzle pieces rest on a soft rug nearby.

We left Knoxville a little earlier than we had planned due to all of the crazy Kentucky weather last weekend. There was so much rain and flooding on Saturday, and then more snow than expected Sunday. We could see several areas of flooding along the interstate as we traveled back home, but we were not impacted by any of it. Our hearts go out to those who experienced tragedy and loss in many areas of our state. We had several more inches of snow this week, which of course will further saturate the ground and streams as it melts. It has certainly been a crazy winter!

In other family news, our son, Kyle, is heading out on a 2 1/2 week concert tour this week! We’re so excited for him, and can’t wait to see him here in Louisville on March 14th! This is his second tour, but he’s performing in several more cities this time. Maybe he’s coming near you! You can see his tour schedule here and follow him on Spotify here!
