Seven on Saturday 7/15/23

Ahhh … happy Saturday! Can you believe it’s already the middle of July?

I’m happy to be on the screened porch this Saturday morning! It’s a little rainy and a bit humid, but a gentle breeze is blowing. It’s a much better experience than this time last Saturday when we were embarking on the 12-hour ride back home from our vacation! Although, I do have to admit that the previous week was much more fun!!

Family swimming

I took a vacation break from Seven on Saturday last weekend, so I haven’t shared much about our trip. It was a glorious week in Blue Mountain Beach, Florida. It’s a small community along the beautiful coastal stretch of 30A, and is near Seaside.

This is the second year we stayed in this little community, and we’ve come to love this location. It’s a bit more low key that some of the busier communities along 30A, and it fits our family just perfectly!

our sweet grandbaby

This was our first trip in the grandparent role, and it was wonderful!! Just love her sweet smile!!

Family at the beach

Zach, Sarah, and Eden had their second family beach trip of the summer. Eden seems to be getting the hang of this beach thing!

Waiting for dinner

This was Renee’s (our future daughter-in-love) first vacation with us! It certainly made the trip more enjoyable for Kyle! This time next year, Renee will officially be part of the family!

Friends at the beach

This was also the first vacation that Caroline was allowed to bring a friend! We loved having Mandy with us!

Fireworks on the beach
Watching fireworks on the beach

We’ve never spent July 4th week at the beach before, and we loved all of the firework festivities! (Well, most of us did!)

Mexican food on vacation

We enjoyed every minute having our whole crew together! We actually had professional beach portraits done while we were there, and I can’t wait to get those back to share with you!

The Best Trim Colors for White Walls

On Friday, it was all about paint color — white paint to be exact! I get lots of questions about the best white trim color to use with white walls, and I answered that question in this post! I also shared my favorite white paint colors as well.

Now for all the lovely things I’ve found this week:

1. Lots of great tips for shopping for vintage books!

2. Love Missy’s pressed flower DIY!

3. This brownie trifle recipe has become a family favorite! So easy and delicious!

4. My favorite purchase from Prime Day – lovely coffee table decor or a beautiful gift idea!

5. In keeping with the beach vacation theme, this Hampton beach house portfolio is stunning!

6. Lots of fresh blue and white kitchen inspiration in this post!
