A woman in a pink sleeveless top holds a young child wearing a light-colored floral outfit. The child has a hand near their mouth. They are outdoors with trees and other people in the background. The woman is smiling, and both are looking at the camera.

Last weekend we made a very quick down and back in one day trip to Knoxville to see our sweet kiddos and precious Miss Eden! We’ve been looking forward to a trip to the zoo with our sweet girl, and Saturday was a great day for it! It was so much fun sharing this experience with her!

A young girl with long dark hair is standing in front of a house with a brick exterior. She is wearing a red "CENTAURUS" T-shirt, a beige skirt, and white sneakers. There are potted plants with pink flowers and green foliage flanking the entryway.

It was back to school week around here. Caroline started her sophomore year on Wednesday. We can’t believe she’s already in her second year of high school, and in a few very short weeks we’ll have a new driver-in-training!

We discovered a fun new card game this week! Have you ever played or heard of Skyjo? We had friends over Wednesday evening for pizza and games, and one couple brought it for us to try. Jeff ordered it as soon as everyone left! It’s a good one to put on your game list. You can order it here.

This Week on the Blog:

Are you beginning to inch your way toward fall decorating? I shared a pretty summer-into-fall color scheme this week, taking cues from the colors of our late summer hydrangea blooms. You can see all my late summer color inspiration in this post.

A dining table is decorated with a centerpiece of green hydrangeas and pink and red flowers. Gold candle holders with orange candles, woven placemats, and green drink glasses brighten up your space. Fruits, including apples and peaches, are placed sporadically.

A transition into a new season is always a great time for a room refresh, and one of my favorite ways to update a room is with new throw pillows! Block print designs are quite popular right now, and this week I shared some of my favorite affordable block print pillow options from Amazon!

Favorites from the Week:

1. This beautiful home full of coastal style!

2. Stacy’s foraged centerpiece is spectacular!

3. Wendy has so many fabulous ways to transform Dollar Tree pumpkins!

4. So many ways to use those summer peaches!

5. Are chrome fixtures making a comeback?

6. Definitely a splurge, but I’m loving this pillow for fall!

7. A painted faux marble countertop!

I’m so glad you stopped by today to catch up on all the fun and activities from the week! I hope you have a fabulous weekend!

Happy Saturday!

Kim
