Five Simple Room Updates before the Holidays
Today I’m sharing five simple room updates you can do in your home before the holidays that will have a big impact. Sometimes it’s fun to do a quick and simple room update. Just a single new item can really change the look of a space. Maybe you could use a fresh coat of paint, or a new accessory in your room. With the holidays just around the corner, it’s getting a little late to start a major project or renovation in your home; however, if you have a room that could use a little sprucing up before you layer in all of the Christmas decor read on for five simple ways to do just that.
These updates are simple, but make a being impact in a room.

1. Update your room with a new rug!
A new rug can dramatically affect the look and feel of a room. You can add cozy texture and colorful pattern with a new rug and completely change the look and feel of a room. 2. A new ceiling fixture is a great and simple room update!
Lighting is like jewelry in your room. A new chandelier can make a great statement in your dining room, living room, or entryway.

I love to switch out my throw pillows with the change of seasons. You can easily create a fresh new look in your living room with a new pillow combination.
4. New table lamps add cozy ambient lighting to a room.
Lighting has a big impact in a room. Every room needs several sources of light, and chances are your room could use a little more table lighting. Overhead lights can be harsh, and table lamps create a warm and inviting space in your room.
5. Update your room with a new paint color.
If you have the time, a new paint color can really give a room a fresh new look.

If painting an entire room is more than you want to tackle, you could create an accent space with one of the rich colors below. If your room has crown molding or a tray ceiling, consider painting the ceiling a pretty accent color.
